GIUNTA, 2021 Pinot Gris, Hawkes Bay

This wine has both refined, streamlined fruit notes and an underlying wild complexity. Notes of yellow apples, crisp pears, quince jelly, cool spice, and cinnamon are juxtaposed with hints of yeast autolysis, flint, and jasmine. The entry to the palate is soft but fresh and meets the aromatics with style. The finish is vibrant leaving both a sense of sweetness in the front palate and perk on the finish. Drink now but will age beyond its expectations.
